Baseball Gives Back

Cuba Goodwill Baseball Mission, 2010
Founder David Fantin (back row center) with kids who have received
your equipment donations (This dugout was built by the local villagers)

"...On the seventh day,
God rested...and played baseball..."

Welcome to Baseball Gives Back of Global Sports Foundation, an IRS 501(c)(3) tax exempt, non-profit public charity. Through a love and passion for baseball, our mission is twofold:

1. We provide gently used and new baseball equipment for underprivileged children and adults in the U.S and the world. The pictures throughout this website are some of the recipients of those generous donations.

Learn more about how you can donate your used equipment or even new equipment.

2. We also do special events such as charity baseball games as the Midniight Madness Baseball Marathon to raise funds for an individual who is suffering from an illness, such as ALS or cancer. The net proceeds go to the family to help with medical bills or mounting living expenses, due to their ailment.

Know someone who has financial stress due to cancer or ALS?
Now accepting nominations of recipients for the 2012 Midnight Madness Marathon Baseball Game; email David.Fantin@GlobalSportsFoundation.org

This website is dedicated to all those who suffer or have suffered from cancer and ALS...

Ray Lammie with his wife Barbara                     Dave with Michael Goldsmith @ Doubleday Field  Cooperstown 2009

The creation of this website was inspired through the untimely loss of friends Ray Lammie and Michael Goldsmith.  Ray created the Eli Barken Charity Events before he passed away from a multi-bout fight with cancer.  Michael, who passed away from ALS,  brought much needed attention to ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease), by convincing Major League Baseball to have an ALS Awareness Day and Charity created on July 4, 2009, the 70th Anniversary of Gehrig's moving speech at Yankee Stadium.
Ray and Michael were humanitarians, avid baseball players and fans; they are sorely missed...
